Distributed to the meeting copies of the Financial Summary and club budget for the year to 30 September 2004. Very quiet year financially, with low expenditure. Income surpassed expenditure by $689.79. Current balance at 1 October 2003 – $3847.88.Newsletter / Publications: Kris Ericksen.

Financial Budget 2002 - 2003
Budget for the coming year should remain at the same level with the same subs. Unanimous vote to hold same subs at $35 for club.

Amount budgeted is $200.00.

General Business
Reserve repacks
Still some to repack. Kane offered to check to see if the Kelson school hall would be available. (He now confirms that it is. Grant to organise a suitable time).
Weather Station
Lloyd suggested we get the Climie station down entirely, so we can use the box for the Paekak station. Asking for volunteers to get up the hill.
Windfarm
Kris reported on what he knew regards the proposed wind generators. This poses a significant threat to a established site. (Maybe several sites??)
Valley Club
Members please note – a suitable dress standard is required. i.e. collar, closed shoes etc.
Motion. That the club makes a donation of $100 to the club for the ongoing use of the facilities. Proposed Grant, sec Guy. Unanimous.
Report on National Association AGM from Colin.
Ongoing lack of action on the commercials. There were a number of issues regarding the tender process for Airborne magazine.
Astrid Anderson – Le Race / sport liability.
Proposal that the club request the national body looks at a donation to the fund for Astrid Anderson.
Proposed – Kris, sec Colin.
Grant (secretary) to make a formal proposal to the national association.
Applications for funding.
Resolution – that the club make an application for funding for the purchase of a Paragliding wing, harness, and reserve parachute, as an incentive in the process of a Paragliding scholarship.
